At the retreat, it seems time passes as if in a simpler place, a simpler time.
A retreat defined: "withdrawal to a safe quiet place ... for those seeking solitude, relaxation, rejuvenation, healing, uplifting fellowship or spiritual contemplation."

Gathering Light ... a nature retreat welcomes those seeking our exceptionally private, romantic getaways and other opportunities. Yet, the above definition encompasses the qualities we try to embrace and preserve most. Far & few are the places that offer the necessary space & quiet to nurture healing & elevating experiences to maintain equilibrium & integrity so desperately needed in modern society.

Those primarily seeking more common superficial pursuits or possessing homogenous particular expectations regarding grounds & facilities or disposition towards noisy disruptive activities should seek more appropriate accommodations. We are affordable because we wish to be accessible to all classes of a gentle, considerate nature, as well as demonstrate a balanced bottom line. We are novel because we love diversity as embodied in nature ... preferring the naturalization of the grounds & weathered rusticity of the buildings.  To fully appreciate the nature and spirit of the retreat one must look beyond the superficial and material to its heart ... as one would an emerald in the rough. Foremost, we are here to provide an environment conducive to balancing & healing while further bridging & integrating harmoniously the human & natural experience.

We ask potential guests to first read the "Most Frequently Answered Questions" (FAQs) before inquiring  further. This saves time and effort by answering most questions & avoids misunderstandings while  conveying that which may otherwise not be adequately expressed.
